Mark Twain on Courage and Fear

Mark Twain said: “Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear—not absence of fear.”

Yes, fear is a thing – but it only grows when you give it energy. If, instead, you demonstrate more courage, that’s your gateway for developing greater virtue.

Everyone faces fear, but not everyone approaches it the same way. The next time something larger than life is coming at you, just swallow and go for it. Decide to develop the virtue it takes to choose courage, regardless of circumstances.
