Are you in transaction business or are in the transformation business? I’m gonna suggest that most people are in the transaction business, but they can take that business and make it transformational, and by doing exactly that, they will have more fun, create more success, and go home every night feeling really good about themselves for the difference that they make.
You see, transformational work is about the difference of the activities of the transformation. So, if someone’s in front of you and you want to make an impact on them, by doing only the activities and taking only the order, that doesn’t really feel very fulfilling. But, when you look at the person and say, “How do I rock their world and change their life in a positive way?” And do your job from that outcome, you will love your job, and every Monday you’ll be saying, “Thank God it’s Monday,” I promise.
