The best opportunities are disguised as work. If you’re ever in a meeting and come to the point where it’s clear that somebody needs to do something, (of course, nobody has a name tag that says “somebody”), that’s an opportunity for you to take on the work. Because when you’re taking on the work, the beauty is you get to learn something new. You get to evolve, you get to be seen as someone who’s a team player who steps in. If you’ve ever been in that awkward silence, when something needs to be done and everybody kind of just sits quietly and waits for somebody else to do it, know that it is your calling. This is a time to step in because opportunity comes disguised as work.
