Can You Forgive Me?

Did you ever do something kind of stupid?

And did you ever want to be forgiven as a result of that disaster?

Yeah, I think we’ve all been in that place, and so has everyone else.

When you work with other people, you have to know that they’re going to make mistakes.

They’re going to sometimes say things that hurt you.

Can you put yourself into a place of unlimited forgiveness—forgiving people for what they’ve done because they’re doing the best that they can with what they have.

Although you want to discern what you will accept or not accept in your performance culture, for the things that don’t cross the line into “non-negotiable” or “repeated after coaching” territory, move on by acknowledging that with breakdown comes breakthrough, IF there is authenticity for a commitment to change and forgiveness.

So, how can you be a leader in forgiveness?
