Master of My Fate and Captain of My Soul

When Henley wrote, “I am the master of my fate, and I am the captain of my soul,” what he failed to mention was that it’s true because we have the power to control our own thoughts.

Sometimes we collapse distinctions and decide that because one thing is bad, that means something else is bad.

It’s an opportunity for us to see something different.

If we see challenging things as opportunities, as opposed to devastating, that is where we control the destiny of our fate.

It creates an opportunity for us because we now see what’s possible, as opposed to focusing on what’s not possible.
