Know Your Worth

Monday, January 17th, 2011

Thank God it’s Monday!™ You’ve probably heard it before. Your prospect offers a veiled threat; something about the abundance of other vendors out there?

Sitting there, looking you in the eyes, they casually declare that you may not get their business.
Well you know what? Agree with them. That’s right. Agree with them! Point out that things may not just work out for you.

As soon as they believe that you need them more than they need you, you have a problem. That’s why you show your own willingness to walk away if things don’t work out.

Just by offering great value, they should be thrilled to do business with you. Always focus instead on the value you create, and show them the monetary implication of that value. And if it’s not a fit, it’s not a fit. Know your worth, value what you have to offer, and create a great Monday.

The Eye of the Tornado

Monday, January 3rd, 2011

* Transcription

Thank God it’s Monday!™ A study by the American Psychological Association found that 62 percent of Americans claim that work has a significant impact on stress levels. Imagine that—62 percent of people walking around in an environment they find stressful.

That’s a little crazy. Life’s too short to feel that way! So change things. Now I’m not suggesting that you quit your job and go relax on the beach for the rest of your life. Choose instead against stress.

So the task pawned off on you that seems impossible… why stress? Choose to see it as an opportunity and step up! So you have 35 phone calls to make in 35 minutes… why not do it with joy? It’s time to blow them away.

How accomplished will you feel after the fact?

Attitude is a choice. Stress is a choice. Choose to live in the zone and decide to live comfortably in the eye of the tornado.

Have a great Monday!
